Just got back from an incredible, energy-filled journey. Not only was this one of the best U2 shows I’ve ever seen, but also I had the experience of attending with two “rookies’. Of course, as a U2 “veteran” I knew the “rookies” would be totally amazed and LOVE the concert. Of course, that’s exactly what happened. Both stated their best concert ever. Both voted AAA+++ show.
To be honest, going in I was a little leery of the set list. Possibly no “With or Without You”. Possibly no “Bad”. NO “I Will Follow”. How could this be an AAA show for a “veteran” like me? How about the “other” songs I long to hear: “A Day Without Me,”Out of Control,”MoFo”?
No sweat!!!! The set list list played GREAT!!! Even if some of the songs I wanted to hear weren’t played. A “veteran” simply has to suck it up sometimes and realize THE BIGGEST BAND IN THE WORLD actually has too many GREAT songs to fit into a 2 hour show.
BOTTOM LINE: The “A Game” was definitely on tonight!!! Wow!!! What a great performance!!!
This “veteran “ votes AAA+++. Same as the “rookies”.
Looking forward to October in Pittsburgh!!! Once again, THANK U U2!!!!
