Hello Hello.
Ok my first GA show of the tour - hey I tried! Anyhow I'll describe as much as I can without making this a huge review. BTW I took some 150 photos, but only included a few here.
So I arrived about 2.30am from North NJ to get a good spot. I don't think you have to get there that early, prob 8am is good.
It was cold as anything in the morning then go hot as Hell in the afternoon - so that really set my mood for the day :)
GA line went great - so all know Philly seperated 2 lines for .Com members and 1 line for just GA. All went in at the same time at a good pace (no real running necessary).
Heard King of Leon, not bad, but you know by that time I was ready for U2.
Ok so they open with City of Blinding (where I saw Bono walking right up was so great). Bono's voice seemed to be dry for the first few songs, he quickly stepped on the side and started drinking some water, and I have to say.. Wow the rest of the show his voice was great (With or With Out you proved that - hitting those high notes like he used to!!).
Set list didn't change much, but it was a great thing to do City, Vertigo and Elevation to open up, got us really wild. BTW PHILLY fans rock, I mean they sang every song, were so loud, just great.
Awesome show!
so a few thanks to..
1. Like to thank Laura for a great job in keep order for the GA line - as much as she said she didn't do anything believe me, with here there well before 2.30am she did a lot - just didn't get much sleep!
2. Rob - for playing great U2 music all day and congrats on Bono taking your hat (who happened to be standing behind me.)
3. For Dalia for coming on this great journey with me for your 1st GA show!!
If anyone knows "Tatoo Guy" have him email me, I have 2 photos of him on stage with Bono (njbono@optonline.net)
thanks!
Jim C.
