This is my 4th U2 show this tour (NY 10/11, Philly 5/14, 10/16), 6th overall (2 Elevation shows) and easily the best. Had a lot to do with my view though, 10 feet from the tip of the circle on the floor! My God was it awesome to see Bono come out during the beginning of "City" that close, I remember the first time I saw it in May I almost lost it. Then during Vertigo he went absolutely ballistic for about a minute, that was NUTS. I will Follow was very energetic, and Electric Co., Bono's voice was SOOOOOO powerful, totally totally awesome. The story he told about Edge being from another planet and coming down in the spaceship was HILARIOUS! Love and Peace was awesome, I was actually so close to Larry that I could hear the actual sound of him hitting the drum, and there was the slightest delay before it went through the mic/PA. That was very powerful, as was Sunday Bloody Sunday. Miss Sarajevo was again played beautifully, and Bono singing Pavarotti's part in Italian was really great. Then they dropped 'Streets', how cool that was to see that close, I lost my mind, I thought my heart was going to explode right before 'I wanna run..." This new guitar/synth intro they do to One while Bono goes on his rap about the 'One Campaign' is really awesome. And seeing all the cell phone lights from the floor really enhances the effect! It was really cool to hear Walk On acoustic, I didnt even recognize at first.
Then, just when I thought I had seen it all, Springsteen comes on the stage. I almost wet myself! What a TREAT. That was probably the coolest "surprise" I ever saw at a concert.
The only thing that upset me was they allegedly (according to some other reviews) ditched "Original Of The Species", which I really like on the album, and I have been dying to see it since seeing it on Conan, and "Bad", which I would love to see again, for this concert. Unfortunately they didnt play those two on any of the three fall shows I was at. But I am thankful for what I did get to see, man 25 years later and they are STILL absolutely on fire. Hope everyone who went had as much fun as I did :)
