From New York City, NY. Post-college summer trip traveling through Europe with my 3 best friends. My first U2 show, we were on the floor in front of the stage for the Pogues and Lou Reed(!). Once U2 came on it was a madhouse - in a good way. Lots of pushing, shoving etc., but fine until the glass liter beer bottles were getting thrown straight up in the air. Retreated back and into the grandstand for a safer view of the rest of the show. I still have (now framed and hanging in my office) the concert poster that I bought outside Wembley and carried rolled up in a tube attached to my backpack the rest of that summer.
