I first see U2 22 years ago at the old Wembely Stadium, that was the Joshua Tree tour. Over the coming years I have seen them on numerious occasions, always putting on a better show than the previous one.
To be honest I thought they had reached their peak, how wrong could I have been.
With excellant support from The Hours and Elbow the anticipation was at it's height when the 4 guys from Dublin took the stage, and they did not let us or themselves down.
The stage set, lighting and sound quality was at times breathtaking. The mixture of old and new was an excellent balance, and how wonderful it was to hear The Unforgettable Fire, not a normally played oldie. From this old classic we had the other side of the coin with a spellbounding remix of I'll Go Crazy If I Dont Go Crazy Tonight... amazing.
At the begining of the night Bono told the crowd that they may see something very special, how right he was.
I ways thought that this would be my last U2 concert, at 41 it's time for other to take on the baton...but no, after this show, as it is a show and not a concert, I can see myself returning again for the next tour. First Class
