Well after travelling all the way from Wales to see this I think the 6 of our party that attended this gig all came to the same conclusion..........it was awesome...
After the stadium taste that I 1st got of the band on their 'Joshua Tree' tour, a more enclosed arena like the Westfallenhalle almost charged the performance to a different level....
This was the 1st night of Bono's voice problems...but until he anounced it at the beginning of 'found' i don't think many noticed. The German audience was wild and despite it being a substantial capacity venue...it's tiering made it seem a very intimate setting.
As you can see...there was nothing outstandingly diferent about the set...but it was delivered with extreme passion from the group, and immense determination from Bono who seemed adamant that the voice problems which hampered so many of the later 'Lovetown' gigs was not going to affect him tonight.....so he was tighter than ever......
We got back on our coach ringing....soaking wet from being near the front few arena rows, exhausted.....but as uplifted as ever..........'dream out loud'!!!
