The Innocence + Experience tour will visit Ireland, after all. After much debate and planning over suitable venues, U2 and Live Nation have just announced six Irish shows to close out the 2015 European I+E tour:

• Belfast, Northern Ireland: November 18 & 19 at SSE Arena
• Dublin, Ireland: November 23, 24, 27 & 28 at 3Arena

Tickets for all six shows go on sale this Monday, September 14, at 9:00 am local time (in Ireland). Fans will be limited to two tickets per person. The announcement says U2.com subscribers will be emailed details about presales.

Due to the size of the venues -- especially 3Arena in Dublin -- it's likely that the production will be unique to the I+E tour. Edge hints at such in today's announcement:

"Finding venues to take this show is actually quite tricky," added The Edge. "We're grateful to our overworked crew who finally cracked the reconfiguring to fit these venues."

U2 also says that €2 million from these concerts will be given to Music Generation, Ireland's national music education program. U2 has been a key contributor (financially and with their time) to that program since it launched a few years ago.
