It's a real privilege to be able to see U2 play in its hometown, and I had that pleasure last night - my first U2 Dublin experience since the PopMart tour. And what a show it was! The band was in fantastic form, playing a few songs that haven't been heard in several weeks, but the real star of the show was the Dublin 3 audience. So loud, so into the show. Long after the band stopped "Bad," we kept singing "Oooooo oooooo ooooo" and "Let it go / And so not fade away." And then when "One" began, we sounded like an Irish choir for the first two verses. Magical night.
