I was up at the fence at the center of the ellipse with my wife. The views were incrdible. Bone and the Lads surpassed all of our expectations. Pulling out classics like I Will Follow and Electric Co were a sweet surprise, along with all of the great songs they played off of the current album.
The higlight of the show for us was when, just before SBS, Bono reached down and asked for our flag. It was 1/2 US and 1/2 Irish and he took it, opened it up, carried it on his shoulder while singing and then set it up in front of Larry. To be that close and interract with him, just for that moment, was awesome!! Does anyone have any pictures of this?? I need proof and had no camera at the show. Anyone know how I can try to get that thing back?? Please let me know.
This was the loudest venue I have been at to date. Bono's "747" comment was true, my ears were ringing for hours afterwards. What a show! What a show!! What a show!!!
