I didn't know what to expect from this concert. Non new material from the band in 2011 as I thought they might. Second show in Anaheim, so I had been to the best U2 concert ever the Rose Bowl in 2009. It was going tone a great show but......
They opened with Real Thing and i was expecting Magnificent next.
What we got was the BEST U2 opening since Zoo TV 20 years ago. I was left speechless as they played some of their best material back to back...
Real Thing
The Fly
Mysterious
End of the world
One
And then ripping into I Will Follow and Streets just blew me away.
They nailed this one.
Something in the back of my mind hoped that they might use is one as a warm up for Glastonbury but this one was beyond my wildest dreams. This kicked it to a totally different level.
Getting back to the hotel in Anaheim I was reading the @U2 tweets and you guys were raving about it to back up what I was feeling. CRAZY good set and they were on fire and yes that was the best U2 360 so far...
For those of you going to Baltimore I so hope they do a similar gig as it will rock your world.
