What an amazing night…U2 rocked Angel Stadium…I heard U2 was practing songs for a forthcoming DVD/audio commentary of the 20th year anniversary of the recording of the album and I was hoping they would play some tonight. Wow!!…they played 6.…5 in a row to start the concert…Even Better Than The Real Thing, The Fly, Mysterious Ways, Until The End Of The World, and then slowed it down with One…and Ultraviolet (Light My Way) as one of the three encore songs along with With or Without You and Moment of Surrender off the new album No Line On The Horizon…
Baby, baby, baby...light my way
(alright now)
Baby, baby, baby...light my way
I had reviewed the setlist from the night before and I wasn’t too contented that they stopped playing Ultraviolet ( which is one of my favorites and one of the main reasons why I bought the tickets) and started to play Hold Me Thrill Me Kill Me in it‘s place. I knew U2 was no longer playing most of the songs from No Line On The Horizon on the 360 tour so to hear Magnificent and Zooropa would have been enough. They played three different songs from the night before, but the order they were played, sure made a great difference..
The concert felt like they were playing like it might be their last….so much energy…Had a great time with my Son…it was worth it…I wondered if it would be the last time I would hear ONE performed by U2...I wondered how could they top this….
One love
One life
It's one love
We get to share it
It leaves you baby
If you don't care for it
