This concert was without a doubt the best of my life so far. I went with my husband and his best friend and we were numbers 6, 7 and 8 in line. We got there at 4am and even through the rain, it was 14 hours well worth the wait. All 3 of our tickets scanned “Vertigo” in a row which is just unheard of that early in line. So I experienced this concert dead center, front row. I struggle to even find the right words to describe the experience… it was just beyond words. But only taking second to my wedding day it was the greatest, most exciting experience of my life. A true “high” that only U2 can deliver.

I saw them back in May at their 3rd Chicago show, but I thought this concert was much better with a lot more energy. My hometown definitely showed U2 how crazy Milwaukee can get!! Everyone was singing and jumping around like maniacs! I loved it!! I missed hearing “Original of the Species” and “The Fly” that I had heard in Chicago but getting to hear “Who’s Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses” and “Miss Sarajevo” more than made up for it. Bono hitting those operatic notes… amazing! Our friend asked for the set list at the end of the concert and got it which was really cool. “Crumbs” was on the list but I guess they decided to skip it. The highlights for me were “Streets” which is always my favorite and “Vertigo” when Bono got super close to us and held eye contact with me. It’s a moment I will never forget. Getting to see these guys that close was just a dream come true. And how cool they could share their 29th anniversary of starting the band in Larry’s kitchen with us in Milwaukee!! I personally love and thrive on all the other political and religious messages Bono brings to the whole concert experience… for me its what takes it from not just a rock concert but to a different level. I felt so lucky to be that close to one of the greatest icons of the world right now that gives back and does soooooo much for the human race. You are the only band that can evoke so many different emotions in me in a 2-1/2 hour span of time. I’m still recovering from it. Thank you guys for sharing all that you are with us and giving me one of the best nights of my life!!!! U2 is the greatest band around…. and I look forward to much more to come from them!!
