Well... where to start. After seeing the opening night concert in Miami, To say we were excited about this show in Charlotte would be an understatement. We braved the cold, enduring chill (hehe) for around 4 hours so that we could insure our spot in Bono's heart.
As we were waiting for u2 to come to play for us, We ran across another little suprise... Ms. Nelly Furtado. Oh Lord, Be still my heart. That little baby can sing! Anyways.... So the boys jumped onstage right around 9:00 p.m. and slammed right into Elevation.
The First four songs (elevation,b.day, until the end, and new years day) really go over well with the crowd. The band was much more relaxed this show. At moments, We saw tears in Bono's eyes from the excitement. The Edge was just standing there in awe of the crowd. "WOW" he would say many times through the night.
Set Hightlights (If you haven't seen your show yet, you might not want to look at this. We are giving secrets up here)
Staring at the Sun - played full version, Popmart Style
Sweetest Thing - Something about Bono playing piano... just cool
In a little while - Even though he keeps messing up the words, It's still incredible. The audience really loves this song. Bono dedicated it to Daniel Lanois this time, who was in the house.
THE FLY - they have totally redone this. Very easily the best song of the list. Every body is blown away by this song.
Mysterious Ways - Bono is back to humping video screens.
With or Without You/ONE/ Walk On - A show has never ended so well.
Now... Off to Atlanta
Have Fun U2 fans..... Be Safe.
Nelly... call me.
This review has been brought to you by James and Jason. Nathan was here too.
