I hadn't seen U2 since 1987 and had REALLY high expectations. I have to say I was not disappointed. A great mix of old and new. I never thought I would ever get to see them sing "I Will Follow" again. "Stay" and "Streets" were my highlights. BTBS has never been a fav of mine and was stunned to see he is still pulling the same "shine a light on the crowd shtick" he did in '87. Sound was not great and yes you could barely understand what Bono was saying in between songs. He did thank Bruce for lending U2 the arena. It is cool that Bono is so aware of everything and does not just live in a rock star bubble.
I have not been to an arena concert in probably 6-7 years and probably won't go for another 6-7 years (unless The Smiths or New Order play an arena....yeah right). It is just not worth paying $97 to sit and barely be able to see the band even with binoculars!!
