New Jersey Loves U2!
Well, it was another unbelievably joyous night with U2. The first feeling of U2-Unity comes as soon as the car gets parked. Get out & walk around and you will hear every song they ever created; It's a Party! 7:15 get on a fast-moving line & get inside to find your seats. Kings of Leon start up soon thereafter; not too bad, just insanely loud for about 45 minutes. Then it gets mysteriously quiet; you sense something is coming...Everyone...-and wham! Right into City of Blinding Lights; what a light-show! The whole stage is ablaze with swirling, spiraling colors encircling the entire elliptically-shaped catwalk. Unreal! The Band will have you unknowingly on your feet for the fastest 2 1/2 hrs. of your life. Highlights for me included Adam's bass guitar vibrating through my entire body; Larry's drumming on Sunday Bloody Sunday done to absolute perfection, and the Edge playing Pride was beautifully surreal for me. Bono's amazing, gorgeous voice rises up, grabs you, and pulls you right in, for an unforgettable visit into their souls, their minds, their hearts, their love and their powerfully-contagious passion for life on earth and the less fortunate of this world. Simply The Best!
