My ears are still ringing and I can't stop thinking about how I could almost reach out and touch Bono! After waiting in line outside(!) for about 1/2 hour to get into General Admission, my friend and I were screaming and being ushered into the middle of the stage. Yes, we were 2 of 300 lucky fans to have a "pink" wrist band and watch the concert from the best spot at the Corel Centre. Believe it or not, I was standing next to Bono's brother! How weird is that? Even as I write this, my mind is still racing... When someone asks me how the concert was, How do I answer so that they get the way that I felt last night? It doesn't get much better than that! If I never attend another concert, I will die a happy woman. I have to say that they played all of the songs I wanted to hear and more! But, my favorite would have to be "One" (yes, I cried). "Stuck in a moment..." was sung about 5 feet away from me and I could see that Bono's lenses were fogging up! I hope that this U2 concert will last forever in my mind - heaven knows I did pinch myself many times last night and have a bruise on my arm to show for it! I think Bono's idea of speaking out on Social Justice issues was felt by everyone! What a wonderful role model for us! And imagine, a concert without the "f-word" begin shouted from the lips of the superstars. Nowadays, it's almost unheard of, but Bono is a clean and classy act. I'm going out to by their Live in Chicago CD this morning.
