WOW!!! What more can I say, than WOW! U2 rocked Salt Lake City. I was nervous about it being in the Delta Center at first, because it doesn't have the best acoustics, but U2 sounded great. This was my 2nd U2 show and it beat the first (PopMart Seattle '97) by a landslide. First show for my older brother who got me hooked on U2 some 12 years ago. Thanks Brent. I wasn't on the floor, but being in Sec 2, Row 7 with a straight on look of the stage was a great view. After No Doubt went off and we were waiting for U2 to come on, we saw someone bring over a setlist to the sound booth on the floor. So, we had a basic idea of what to expect... only you can't expect, you only experience the music and fun of the whole concert atmosphere. My brother and I were excited to hear "Bad"... it would have been worth every penny just to hear that song live for the both of us. It was better than Christmas!
I thought Bono's comment on how Salt Lake really supported U2 when they were putting out some "far out" records was nice. I think Salt Lake was one of the very few PopMart stops to completely sell-out. U2 is welcome in Salt Lake anytime!
