Almost 10 years since the last time I saw the boys live on the Zoo TV Outside Broadcast tour and nearly 17 since the first time ever at Radio City Music Hall on The Unforgettable tour and I must say, they still impress. Great energy level to kick it off and the entrance is a stroke of genius. Everyone pogo'ing to Elevation. End of the World is when it really gets going and you had to know New Years Day would return in Boston (first one since the break in the tour). They nailed Stuck & Kite. In fact all the new material shines live. Great stage lighting throughout but Willie's use of the shadows during New York is extraordinary. Would have liked to see more people jumping like I was to the opening riff of Tick Tock but who cares. Ground Beneath was another special treat. And while I certainly would have preferred Bad, they ripped a great version of All I Want. The trio of songs that closed the main set were all you'd expect, great versions of each. And a return to the early tour lineup of songs with Ways & Fly closing it.

As for the encores, no way to argue with what they played and how they played them; top notch. Could have used one more tune though.

Closing thoughts:

- Edge was on tip of his game all night.
- Bono's voice was powerful and he was clearly fired up after a day's rest
- Larry & Adam were their usual solid selves
- Enjoyed the return of some spirited polictical related stage dialogue and Bono clearly had some bite in his comments
- One of the best stage/lighting/sound set-ups I've seen in awhile. Well done Willie.
- One more choice tune (Bad, Pride, I Will Follow or Out of Control)would have put this one over the top & into best of tour contention
- Boston on the Fall return schedule? Gotta be guys.

Peace
