I have seen U2 live in concert since the Joshua Tree Tour in 1987 and have been a lifelong fan. Overall, the show was very flat, the crowd energy was nonexistent and the band just seemed to be going through the motions. There was not enough sustained energy during the show meaning not enough upbeat songs in a row to keep the crowd energized. There were also too many acoustic songs during the show aside from the acoustic encore. Speaking of the encore, what a let down!!!! An encore should be lively to get the crowd up and rocking and this was far from that. The set list is pretty much the same each night with the exception of maybe 1 song so you know what is coming. Instead of replacing a song they just drop it from the setlist so then fans are getting one less song in the show. I also don’t understand why they dropped “Horses” from the first slot in the encore. They also don’t need the fancy screens either. Just get up on stage and put on a rock and roll show!!! Very disappointed!!!!
