This was my 3rd U2 show.
1st - Elevation Tour (Lexington) inside heart
2nd - Vertigo (Atlanta) @ tip of ellipse
3rd - 360 (Atlanta) inside circle/back of floor
I will echo the sentiments here. Terrible venue. I think there were some techincal difficulties... lots of tinny sounds (Bono's voice and Edge's guitars) from within the circle on the floor (I was about 4 people deep) The sound echoed so much, even from the floor. I couldn't hear much of what Bono had to say when the band was playing. It was so far from being personal, especially when we are saying 20,000 capacity tours (Vertigo) felt more personal than this. The crowd was totally out of it, and I blame the venue for that. It just felt so sterile in there. I remember walking in after 7+ hours in line, so stoked to finally get in... and it really wasn't much of anything. All I saw was black, red, and gray and the stage. Granted the stage was amazing, espcially lit up, but it just kind of blended into the noise when you walked in. Should have had some lights on to pump up the crowd.
Muse was PHENOMENAL. They almost (seriously) stole the show. Very cool of U2 to let them use the cameras and screens.
Did not like the remix of "I'll Go Crazy..." although it definitely got people excited. "Streets" is still their best song, and was unreal live (as always). People really got pumped for it.
All in all, glad I went. If you are reading wondering where to head to on the floor, I kind of recommend middle to back of floor. You can see the whole show, you're still close, and you have breathing room - they let WAY to many people into the main circle.
