I saw the Elevation your in Sacramento in 2001 and was blown away. It was easily the best concert I have ever seen. Based on that, I talked 3 friends (who had never seen them live) into plunking down $170 to go with me. What a disappointment.
The songs were played perfectly, just in a lousy order, with low energy from Bono. I know they are trying to mix up the set lists this tour, and I applaud that, but there was no "build". It even seemed like they didn't know what song was next half the time. Bono didn't seem to be into it. He stayed on the main stage most of the time when he could have come out and stirred things up.
Maybe if I hadn't seen the last tour, I would have thought it was great. This was a hamburger for the price a steak dinner....for four. Have fun spending my money.
