The last U2 show I went to was the Zoo TV tour at the Oakland Collesium. Having "missed" Pop Mart, and regretably passing on Elevation, I was anxious to check out Vertigo. Having not seen the band for so long I was not dissapointed. I thought they put on a great show. The acoustics at the HP Pavillion are horrible, but I was too busy singing along with the band to complain. The crowd downstairs, or at least section 109 where I sat, seemed to be into the show. Not sure why some are complaining about the crowd. Is it possible that hardcore U2 fans are just a little tough to please? Yeah, I would have liked to have heard the band plays some other songs, but U2 is a band that can play for three hours, and we would still be left wondering why they din't play for another hour. All in all, great show, and worth every penny. Then again, I didn't have to go to ebay and pay $500 for my ticket. Vertigo certainly got my head spinning. Can't wait for Oakland.
