AWESOME SHOW! U2 never disappoints!
This was my 2nd U3 show (first was Pop Mart tour in 1997/Oakland). We thought we had crappy seats (we were on the side of the stage), but the simplicity and open set gave us a great view of the band! We missed a little bit of the effect from the light curtains, but they were fantastic none-the-less! The LED lights on the stage was very cool!
I loved the mix of new, old & favorites. I was bummed there was none of my favorites from "Pop", but plenty of other favorites to keep me satisfied! Wished they would have played "Crumbs From Your Table", but the optimist in me just hopes it will make it onto the set list by November when they come to Oakland!
Very cool moment when Bono had everyone take out their cell phones! Very powerful, especially when Bono asked us to use them to call our congressman!
Another moment to remember: Bono wearing a red shirt, singing out on the catwalk ... the crowd was lit up and he just looked like he was floating on a sea of fans!!!!
Bono, Larry, Adam & The Edge - you are THE rock band of our time. THANK YOU for a wonderful evening!!!!!
