The thing I remember most about the two shows at the Sports Arena was the fact you could only buy the tickets over the phone through Ticketmaster in an attempt to prevent scalpers from getting the tickets and that this essentially bogged down the phone system in LA enough so that it made the news. After 4 hours of calling, my wife got through and we got two tickets. All of the hype surrounding the tour and the visual effects accompanying the music did not disappoint and everyone in the arena was on their feet for the entire show. As big and flashy as the show seemed with all of the visual effects at the time, after seeing the outdoor shows for Zoo TV, this really was an experience that seemed intimate after the fact. The band sounded amazing from the opening chords of Zoo Station all the way through when they brought the show to a close with Love is Blindness. The fact that the tickets for both shows were difficult to obtain made this the most special U2 concert I have seen
