An amazing night, as the band battled through constant rain to deliver another exceptional performance. My first night front and centre in the circle - not surprising as we got into the Stadium an hour before they opened the gates!
Despite the heavy security, about 5 of us got through many lines of security and into the Stadium without even showing a ticket!
We were also allowed into the restricted backstage area, the only thing I wanted to try but thought better of it was to walk onto the Stage!
I wasn't surprised they dropped the new songs, keeping the Show relevant to the new audience. There was a magnificent reaction when the Russian bloke came on stage to perform Knockin' on Heaven's Door. I have never heard of him (being from Coventry!) but the Russians seemed to enjoy it.
A lot of new, young Russians in the audience which is good to see, but not sure that they really knew some of the old classics which is disappointing.
Bono promised they will return, but when he knows the full extent of what happened outside I am not so sure.
