Great show last night. This was my 11th U2 show, and it was up there in the top 5. I really think that this tour better than Vertigo and up there with Elevation. The sound from inside the Claw was great. During this tour, I’ve been in good ($300) seats in the stands and down in GA, and inside the Claw makes all the difference in the world. The energy down there is just unbeatable. Highlights for me were: Mysterious Ways, Stay, and Zooropa.
I really missed the better songs from the new album: No Line on the Horizon, Breathe, Magnificent, Unknown Caller. A few songs that need to be dropped from the set list: Pride, SBS, WOWY, Miss Sarajevo. All in all, a great night, though.
I do agree with someone who mentioned the unusually bad attitudes of some of the GA people. This was the first U2 show at which I saw people thrown out for fighting. Also, a group of 3 thugs roamed inside the Claw. It was really out of place….it was though they were in some sort of a mosh pit at a Kid Rock concert....meat heads. U2 shows really aren’t like that and they really do a disservice to the mostly polite GA fans.
Great night….great energy….great to see U2 in my hometown. Next onto Philly on July 14th.
