What a show! A very intense performance this evening. I saw U2 in Toronto on May 25th, but I have the feeling that this show was even more poignant. After the events of 09/11, it seems that U2's music is even more relevant. As always, Elevation got things off to a rocking start. Until The End of The World was as powerful as ever, with Bono and Edge engaging in a showdown ala Judas & Jesus at the tip of the heart. Stuck in a Moment had a nice little intro with When Will I See You Again tacked on at the beginning. I loved this evening's version of Out of Control, as Bono engaged in a bit of a story in the middle of the song, pretending that the crowd was a record company exec. and trying to hawk his demo tape to us. Bullet was very, very powerful this evening, and I'm glad that U2 hasn't chosen to drop this one from the setlist in light of the attacks. Best moment of the night for me? Bad/Streets...just amazing music...it doesn't get any better than this.
I'm off to Hamilton for the next show. Walk On!!!
