One word: unbelievable!
Unbelievable because I saw a few concerts in my lifetime, including 2 from U2 before and never thought they could be better than what they showed me before!
Everything was perfect! Bono had his voice back (on May 28th, they had to cut 2 songs because of Bono's voice)and it was better than ever before. The sound was perfect. The crowd was lounder than anywhere else (from Bono's mouth and in French, s'il-vous-plait!).
3 songs that I wished they had played in May but were not, were played yesterday: New Years Day, With or Without You, and mostly Bad that I rarely had the chance to hear live before. That song alone was worth the price. In Bad, Bono kissed a pregnant woman on the tummy after dancing with her, a touching moment.
Another precious moment was when Bono was re-creating the experience of trying to make it in the world, trying to make it big. He was trying to sell his young band and 3 singles that he was hoping Mister Record Company was going to like. I think Bono actually spoke in a "teenager" voice to make it more believable during the first single of the band's career: Out of control! What a song live!
Of course, terrrorist attacks and Drop the debt issues were brought up. Bono thanking the PM (Jean Chretien), his financial minister (Paul Martin), and Canada. He knows that we can make it happen! :))
Overall, an experience I will never forget.
Bono is not my hero anymore...he is my god!
There is no statue around the Molson Centre (believe me, I looked!:)...perhaps it is time that we build one!
