I waited a few days to write my review hoping I would find the right words to describe the emotions I felt during and after the show and words just can’t do it justice. It was my 4th U2 show and they just keep getting better and better. I didn’t think it was possible for them to surpass the May 27th show but they did!!
My best friend came with me and it was her first U2 show and now she’s completely hooked on them. We wanted to do something that would show that we care about what’s happening in the world right now, being in New York City just 10 days before September 11 really hit us very hard. So I bought 2 white roses just hoping that Bono would see them. We were lucky enough to be inside the heart along the left ramp (facing stage) and during Sunday Bloody Sunday Bono was coming towards the ramp so we just took out our roses and held them very high. He wasn’t looking in our direction at all and suddenly he slowly turned towards us, bent and picked up my white rose. He looked into my eyes and said thank you. I was completely blown away. That was my personal high point of the show but there was a lot more. I loved Out of Control with the flash back, What’s going on, With or without you, One and Peace on Earth/Walk on. (I could list them all!!)
Montréal really loves U2 and we showed them again that night and being so close to the stage we could see their faces and they were completely amazed by the response of the crowd. As was mentionning in Carrie her review, they didn’t want to leave stage and we could see it in their faces.
Thank you for an unforgettable night guys!
