The German sausage quickly erased the wonderful taste of the Polish burger. U2 mounted an energetic set with probably the best version of Love and Peace I have ever heard. Bono went absolutely ballistic on the drums tonight and he even threw in a very coordinated fill on the single drum. In light of what happened today at London, the concert took on more of a somber tone. I am pretty withdrawn when One is played, but tonight, U2 captured the emptiness all of us were feeling when they played it tonight. Most people had a hard time rocking out tonight because of today's events in London. I had never seen so many people sitting down as I did tonight when Streets came on.
God Bless you, London. Our prayers are with you.
