The events that happened in London earlier in the day definately changed the mood of the show. Sunday Bloody Sunday was powerful and a bit longer with the shouting of "NO MORE" at the end, aimed at the news of the day. Bono dedicated Running to Stand Still to the families of the ones killed. He offered a prayer that he hopes "we will not become a monster trying to stop a monster." Bonos stage hand came out and helped him with his shoe dilemma. The video screens didn't work (just the ones focused on the band) until Beautiful Day. He gave the G8 and Gerhard Schroeder one last chance to help Africa before "One." He said that if Schroeder delivered in his promised before 400pm the next day, that he would be a hero. All in all a good show, but the clouds above and the black cloud from London were in the air.
