I flew with 3 friends from Geneva to see our favourite band live for the 1st time since Elevation tour in 2001.... it was worth it but we were a little disappointed. I still don't know if we expected too much, if the London events earlier that day brought a dark and sleepy atmosphere, or if the German crowd was thinking more about beer than U2, but it wasn't the best show by far...having seen U2 5 times before in 3 different tours....
I wasn't expecting another ZOO TV cause it will never be topped by any bands, not even U2 themselves, but I was expecting a more spectacular screen (very bad screen!).
The 3 first song were really full of anger and energy, but then the next 10 were slow and without emotion.... with the only exception of Sometimes and Running....
Then the best 2 songs of the setlist, ZOO and FLY, really AMAZING to see such a powerful and perfect version of the FLY!!!!!
Yahweh was absolutely beautiful....magical....
All in all, a good show, with 4 masterpieces and a few songs that used to be played much bettre in the past... (I still haven't..., All I want is you, Bullet the blue sky.....)
See you in Zurich and Nice!!!!!!
