U2's Friday night show at the Pepsi Center was not what I had expected. At $152 for one ticket after ticket charges are added, it should have been amazing.
Well, I wasn't amazed.
Opening act PJ Harvey was pathetic, and the sound wasn't mixed.
U2's performance was ok, but again, the sound was not right and halfway through the show, I felt like taking a nap. The encore finally got the Pepsi Center rocking again, but the magical/spiritual feeling I was expecting, never materialized.
So was it worth $152? No WAY!
Is U2 the best rock and roll band in the world? No, but they're the most expensive.
Maybe Bono can take some of the ca$h he's raking in and relieve world debt all by himself.
