Tonight, U2 came back to the midwest and Omaha responded. Unlike some past shows that I have seen in Kansas City, the place was packed and the fans were loud.
It was an awesome set list tonight. "Vertigo" gets better and better along with "Love and Peace or Else." "I Will Follow" was a great surprise along with the snipets throughout the show like "Baby Please Come Home" and "All I want is you."
Tonight I will have to say that "Until the end of the World" outdid "Streets". Bono spoke to the crowd and told the story of "Miss Sarajevo" and he nailed the Italian Operatic part. Acoustic version of "Stuck In a Moment" was very moving. The best was during "40" when everyone was off the stage but Larry and he pounded out a drum solo that I have never seen him do before in my 8 shows I have seen. When he was done, he went to the Mic stand and touched Bono's Rosary and walked off stage as the crowd sang "How Long . . "
Bono could really feel the crowd tonight. At many points he let the crowd sing. At one point after "One" you could see him look at the edge and say "WOW".
Great job Omaha!!! You did your part well. I hope that they make it back soon.
