U2 was fantastic - absolute pros! However, I'm a bit bitter about the opening act. Kanye West was the absolute opposite of U2. Where u2 plays their music, West rapps to pre-recorded material. When everyone cheered him when he played 20 seconds or so of a Eurythmics song, I about lost it. Where U2 paints a rich sonic tapestry, West's music is all bass. I swear, it sounded like all sub-woofer. Where U2 has dynamics - taking a sing up and down in tempo and energy, every 'song' from West was a constant bass onslaught. I felt cheated. Considering how most hid in the hallways duringhte opening act, I wasn't alone. I think this type of performer is what is ruining music in general. Thanks U2 for the great performance, but shame on you for foistering such an obvious mismatch of an opening act.
