This was my 5th U2 show since Oct.10 1992 in the Big Sombrero. Each show has been fantastic but each show has been it's own show. Obviously most of us go for the quality of the music and the spiritual and emotional connection that Bono and the Boys give us. But another quality to appreciate is that each tour is different than the last , because after more than 30 years of making incredible music they are still together and still writing new and relevant music. I'm 48 years old and sitting next to me was 3 kids all 15 years old singing every song Bono sang and that includes the new album music. U2 reaches all ages and has done so for a long time.
This show was excellent in many way. Set list worked well for me ,I like the mixture of new and old . I have heard all of their hits so its good to check out the new stuff. Bono's voice was crystal clear as was the Edge. The Edge's guitar was cutting thrue the Tampa heat like razor blade. The audio was probably the best of any outdoor event I have been too. The video was absolutly stunning ,helped by that screen attached to the monster claw that fell out of the sky and landed perfectly in Tampa Stadium. I highly recommend attending this tour if you are given the chance. And thanks DJ for letting me go with U, your back up singing is steller !!!!. Great memories , when is the next show , I'm N.
