I have been following u2 for over 30 years and this concert exceeded my expectations. I brought 3 of my sons and we all agreed the performance was electrifying from start to finish. The show started late (around 8:30), but just when I was beginning to wonder if something was wrong, the room grew dim, blinding lights popped on from behind the stage and the thundering chords of Miracle (of JR) filled the arena. This felt like an abrupt start after an hour wait so it took me a moment to process that the long anticipated performance had actually begun. By the time they started Vertigo however, I had settled in to enjoy the show. The new songs sounded great live. I'm not a big fan of "Iris" but Bono's intro to it was meaningful. I loved the Sunday Bloody Sunday - Raised by Wolves combo, and the mega screen made for a visual feast! The second half was a string of favourites that had most people hopping. I especially enjoyed Bad. What I love about this band is they can effectively entertain while instilling you with a renewed sense of hope.
