A great concert in a great venue, a natural bowl shaped arena in the suburbs of Leeds. Rumours were around that it was sold out on the day (85,000). I got a fantastic place in the front pen near the b-stage, and I only started queing at 1515. The rain really came down during Cast, but stopped in time for U2. The band really seemed to be enjoying the show, and Bono remarked how Leeds was the best concert of the Zooropa tour, although take that with a pinch of salt. At the start of Even Better Than The Real Thing, Bono said "George Harrison says you shouldn't be here" whilst giving him the finger.
The show ended with a long version of 'Rain' which was absolutely fantastic.
