After last night's show, I can say again that U2 is by far the best rock band in the world, my favortie band of all time and the greatest group of guys to hang out with, even if it was for only 2 hours.
I have never been to a U2 show where they played Bad, New Year's Day and Sunday Bloody Sunday in one night. Being the cool guy that I am, I can say that I got tears in my eyes while Bono poured his heart and soul into Bad and One. I love the new album and believe it's one of the best and the new songs mixed right in and will be classics for sure, especially Beautiful Day and In a Little While.
I was standing maybe 5 rows back from the end of the stage outside of the heart, but I still felt like I was sitting in the Bono's front yard for a private show. Absolutely awesome! And to think I almost didn't get tickets. I went down the Sports Arena about noon and was able to get a few GA seats. I drove back and got my brother and we camped out all day. We listened to Under a Blood Red Sky for a few hours as a warm up.
I hope and pray that another San Diego date will be scheduled this fall. I couldn't get enough. If I never see U2 perform again, at least I know I went to the finest show I've ever been to.
Thanks guys, God bless. You have the job hands down, no questions asked.
P.s. I noticed a lot of people with banners asking for Kite. Not that I'm complaining, but Kite would be a great song to throw in.
