I will admit that I was hestitant at spending $130 for a seat for a concert. And I was appalled at the prices of the merch.
I'll also admit that the concert didn't start out so well. PJ Harvey was not as good as I'd hoped her to be. As a fan, I felt that her set lacked a little. The music was so distorted I could barely hear her voice, and the songs seemed rushed and way to loud to distinguish much difference between them.
But the moment the boys took the stage I knew it would be worth it. These guys are such performers - you're getting a show along with great music. Despite little speaking between songs, you still get a sense of their personalities. Bono is extremely personable, and he is undeniably a Rock Star.
I couldn't have asked for a better setlist. They gave the audience the songs they wanted as well as some of their newer stuff. They also gave the audience a night to remember.
