The San Diego show seemed to lack anything out of the ordinary... there was nothing special to the show. As always the band sounded great, but what has happened? Where did the magic go? The setlist was about exactly the same as every other routine night, and I believe U2 was a bit tired during the show. They didn't have the same energy that I have seen on the four tours I have witnessed concerts from, Popmart, Zoo Tv, Lovetown, and Rattle and Hum. I must say this was the most disappointing concert I have ever seen U2 play. Even more disappointing than the Charlotte, NC show I flew to see a month ago. I do not believe U2 is thinking correctly these days as far as a tour is concerned. The CD they are promoting is great, but the show is too toned down. I needed something to make me think, "Wow, this was awesome... just as good as the other shows I have seen." Not, "I wish they could have played a little longer... or the tickets were kind of high for this."
