well what can i say about this great event that would do it justice.
the supporting acts were awesome with a special mention for the brilliant nelly furtardo and moby, but what really got the hair standing on the back of my head was the sound of elevation pumping through the massive p,a.
i did think that having allready travelled from ireland to new jersey to see them play in the continental airlines arena that the atmoshere was better in america also u2 played a much longer set in america up to half an hour longer.
it was great to hear "angel of harlem" brought back into the set but i did miss bad,i will follow, new york and "in a little while" not being included in the set, but the experience of being at this monster gig along with 80,000 other people will live with me forever as did 1987 in croke park.
by the way did anybody notice bono getting a bit angry with his guitar rodie when he broke a string in "walk on".
bono also made a moving tribute to the omagh bomb victims naming the dead during "sunday bloody sunday" a place that is only 15 miles from were i live in co.donegal.
what more can i say than what a fantastic performance by bono and the lads and what a terrific venue for a concert in slane castle.
dont forget u2 live from irving plaza in new york is being broadcast on irish radio station "2fm" from 10 in the evening on sunday sept 2.
from lifelong u2 fan mark.
