WOW! First off, I was highly impressed with Bono, Adam and Edge fo coming out to sign autographs with the fans for 20 whole minutes. Meeting them, kissing them and walking away with signed items was a dream come true and made my knees knock. Very down to earth!! The guy next to me asked him if Bono was feeling better cause it sounded like he had a cold earlier in the week. Bono told the guy he was trying to pull threw it, so for those that heard the crackle and not pulling off some of the high notes that was it.
All in all the concert was out of this world! If I only wouldn't have been just born when they were first starting out because those days sounded like the good old times from many of you...BUT here we are 25 years later with people of ALL ages singing to the oldies and to the newbies. I think for the era we are in this show was amazing...of course we all long for the days of small venues and shows...but the acoustic flair in the middle of the conert/encore gave me a good taste. I just relish in the fact that over 20,000 people are there for the same reason, U2 and their music has impacted them somehow and in such positive energy ways. I am prego so I will be sure to tell our little one about its first U2 concert and I was also happy to see A LOT of other prego women there as that means we are raising future U2 fans.
Thanks for the memories, I can't wait for more!
