I took in the show from immediately behind the stage (front row) with a ticket purchased that morning--thanks Beth! Right below me was the main entrance to the "understage" area. It was very cool to see some of the behind the scenes stuff like the band coming in and out of the arena/stage area, crew members each picking up copies of the set list prior to the show, Bono's tele-prompter (all lyrics and most comments between songs rolled by), Larry's mysterious pink beverage during the encores, etc. By the way, the printed set list the crew was working from ended with Yahweh.
I saw the first Chicago show, and I'd say this one was better in the sense that all 4 band members seemed "on." In Chicago, Adam nearly carried the show, spending a lot of time out on the runway. Here there was a better balance. Hearing Crumbs was awesome--but I missed the Zoo Station/Fly combo which opened the Chicago show's first encore with a wall of sound that was missing in Mpls/St. Paul.
Finally, after the band went back on for the final time, a crew member was hauling out various stuff including 3 full-length mirrors--presumably for use by 3 of the 4 band members...I wonder who didn't need one? hmmmmm.
