Show was a spectacle, expected more considering this was the final Boston date of the tour, but I can't complain since we in Boston were serenaded with beautiful tunes for 7 wonderful nights.
Compared to Sunday's 12/4 show, this one wasn't as strong, but still powerful. The dancing Vegas Elvis and Santas were hilarious, Bono wishing for a firetruck and for Edge a trainset, and the snippets from various songs really accented a few of the songs. Also a nice touch by wishing a fond farewell to Boston Globe music reviewer Steve Morse, a longtime friend of the band.
And is it me or do Original of the Species and Yahweh just sound more beautiful live right now?? I love the "...take this city's heart... and keep.. it.. safe, yeah" ending.
Just disappointed they didn't play Bad again, but oh well... Surprised they didn't do other older songs like Out of Control or Electric Co.
