Having not seen the band for almost nine years, I was understandably excited about finally having the opportunity to see them again The group I was with had great seats (A-Reserve) that we bought through the U2.com fanclub. Unfortunately we missed Kanye due to a bit of a mix up with our parking tickets... people we knew that were in there said we didn't miss much anyway. Just as "Wake Up" started playing, the rain started falling, almost on cue. My highlight's for the night were: Beautiful Day... the long held notes for the line "Touch me" really brought out the emotion of the song, and; One... seeing all those 70 000 mobile phones waving about was amazing! Even though we had a great spot, I was slightly dissapointed with the sound... I would have liked to hear Edges guitar a bit more clearly and also, every time Bono put his Mic bank onto the clip it made quite a large noise, which was a bit distracting. These problem were very minor though... all in all a great show.
