I went to the concert on Friday night. It was incredible. The boys were absolutely on FIRE!! City of blinding lights is the most amzing live song I've ever heard. I've yet to find someone it that stadium who did not get shivers up and down their spine, and the hair on the back of their neck stand up. BRILLIANT! U2 never fail to amaze. You can realy feel how long and close these guys have been working together, it is reflected in the incredibly powerful way they perform.
Highlights of the night include Bono taking off his sunnies and singing the ode to his dad: Sometimes you can't make it on you own. He is a bloody fantastic singer. Miss Sarajevo, With Or Without You, Angel of Harlem and Kite were also up there, all though the entire thing, beginning to end was flawless.
They truly lit Telstra on fire. A feat not easily achieved! Good on you guys! Come back soon!
