An incredible show. Many have heard the bootleg of this show as it's widely available...but what isn't captured is what happened after the show. Even after the house lights went up, even after/during Clannad's "Harry's Game"...hundreds of people continued to sing the refrain from "40".
The refrain spilled out onto the sidewalks and street outside the UIC Pavillion and even into the adjacent parking lot where people from the top level of the ramp stood singing down to and with those of us at street level. Amazing and moving...continued for what must have been 30 minutes. No one wanted to stop, and no one looked at anyone oddly for continuing. Special thanks to my parents for driving all of us (80 miles each way) to the show which started our love of experiencing U2 music live. (Gretchen/Gwen/Grant/Beth)
