It is beyond me that the entire floor area can have that much energy after spending upwards of 8 hours in sweltering heat. I was sitting, by the clock face at 3, with the stage at 12, fifteen rows off the floor. Because Arizona was robbed and only had one U2 concert, the crowd was overtly passionate. This was the fifth and last time for me on this leg and when 8:50pm came, the floor was elevating more than I've seen over the last three nights in Anaheim, and in San Diego. Before Kite, Bono said this song is for anyone whose lost someone close. Thanks Bono. I met lots of longtime fans who came here from Denver, Utah, California (myself included), and Wisconsin. This was the last time for alot of people who went to all the California stops, so that was bittersweet. We'll see you hopefully in September. When Bono came out to say hello at 5:30pm his voice was a mere whisper compared to what he unleashed on stage.
I'll relate one story about U2's organization that touched me. My friend Kathy came from San Diego and had tickets at will call. She had previous problems with a lost order from propaganda and they made right tenfold. The tickets would not be released from will call until 6pm and far too late to gain access to the heart. Her $45 tickets weren't that when she opened the envelope, they were lower bowl $130 tickets, a pair of them! With a pair of wristbands to the floor & to the heart!
After Walk On, Bono told us it was another amazing night from the microphone. I will certainly agree with that. Slan, Chris
