I am an original U2 fan (yes, I am old and first saw them as a support band!) and this was the first U2 concert I have seen in 20 years. I took my 13 year old son, who doesn't know a great deal of their songs, for an experience hopefully he would never forget. He wasn't disappointed!!
I thought the concert was incredible. Yes, it's an open arena and so some of the sound quality was lost, but we both loved the 'claw", lights and enthusiasm of U2. I personally am amazed that Bono was still jumping after an hour and three quarters of singing!!
I was impressed at the range of songs, very old classics, more recent and new! Laughed my head off at the Desmond Tutu bit, never seen the bloke so animated in all my life!!
Really pleased to have gone, but only disappointment was to see gaps in the standing area and empty seats all around. Apprently London had 91,000 attend at Wembley!! Come on Australians, let's support these bands when they finally get to our shores eh!??!?!
Well done U2....loved it!!
